The Shimano BB-ES300 Octalink bottom bracket with 8 teeth is suitable for MTB and Trekking cranks, which are to be installed in BSA bottom bracket shells with 68 or 73 mm shell widths. Compared to its predecessor BB-ES25, it weighs over 25 grams less. This is the standard version that is neither E-Type nor chaincase compatible.
